Latests Rumors: Apple´s NFC patent suggest it will be on iPhone 5.
This is a list of features and specifications we made on our before post of iPhone 5 rumors :
Features and specifications:
1. iPhone 5 Form Factor Could Be Bigger Than iPhone 4S?
2. iPhone 5 Could Come With Retina display.?
3. iPhone 5 Could Have A Quad-Core Processor (A5X ?)
4. iPhone 5 Could Have 4G / LTE Capability?
5. More Gesture-based – No Home Button.?
6. iPhone 5 Features – Storage Capacity up to 64GB, Battery Problems fixed and iOS 6 ?
7. Fire-proof iPhone?
8. Wireless Charging?
9. NFC Payment ?
10. iPhone 5 and Nano-SIM?
As you can observe on number 9.- NFC payment is on our list of possible features to come on the iPhone 5.
Patently Apple last week spotted a new patent (above pic) for gifting media purchased in iTunes from one user to another, using NFC or email to secure the exchange. The patent offers solutions which will let users share iTunes Playlists (at a cost) and also describes ways in which you will be able to pass your gifted track or album to others just by waving your iPhone near theirs. And yes, this also relates to other forms of media content.
The patents suggest Apple's assembling all the pieces it needs to introduce a range of NFC-supporting services when it does eventually field NFC support within iOS devices.
Given that whispers from within the NFC industry strongly suggest the company will introduce support for the (albeit fragmented) standard within the iPhone 5. The only hope is that Apple will choose to support both US and European implementations of NFC when it does.
